Ephemeral Planning Entities and Live Execution Logs

Planning can now use short-lived entities that clean themselves up after success, and execution logs stream live into the workspace.

This update makes active planning feel cleaner while making long-running work easier to observe in real time.

Planning Can Use Short-Lived Working Objects

Tasks, subtasks, and projects can now be marked as ephemeral, which means they disappear automatically after a successful completion instead of leaving behind extra clutter.

  • Temporary planning artifacts clean themselves up when they have served their purpose
  • Failed ephemeral work stays visible so you can still inspect what went wrong
  • Run history remains intact, so cleanup does not erase the audit trail

Execution Logs Now Stream Live

Agent work is no longer something you wait to inspect after the fact. The planning workspace can now stream execution logs as they happen, with dedicated activity views and live indicators in the sidebar.

  • Long-running executions are easier to follow as they unfold
  • Run history can be inspected from inside the agent workspace
  • Streaming reliability and log access were tightened so the live view behaves more predictably

Agent Kinds Are More Visible Across The Product

Agent kinds are now surfaced more clearly on list cards and profile views, which makes it easier to understand what an agent is meant to do at a glance.
