This was a meaningful control-surface release. Planning chat became able to launch work that keeps going without monopolizing the thread, and notifications grew from a single stream into something you can tune by category and cadence.
Planning Chat Can Launch Background Work
Agents can now kick off longer-running work from planning chat without forcing everything into a single blocking interaction.
- Planning chat can dispatch background tasks directly
- Running work is visible from the workspace, so you can see which background task is active instead of guessing
- Completion reports flow back into the originating thread, which keeps the conversation and the work more tightly connected
Notifications Became Category-Aware
Notification delivery is now less all-or-nothing and more aligned with how different kinds of updates deserve different treatment.
- Notification categories now drive delivery behavior
- You can choose digest frequency per category across email, push, and Telegram instead of accepting one blanket setting
- In-app notifications remain immediate, so digesting outside channels does not make the product itself feel delayed
Teams Got Better Notification Controls Too
This was not just a personal-workspace improvement.
- Team workspaces now have their own notification settings page
- The notification center gained category filters, which makes larger volumes easier to tame
- Digest delivery is better suited to shared work, where not every update deserves an instant interruption
