Kindship offers flexible subscription plans to fit your needs. This guide covers everything you need to know about billing, subscriptions, and payments.

Understanding Your Subscription

What's Included

Your subscription determines:

  • Number of agents — How many agents you can create
  • Features available — Basic vs. advanced capabilities
  • Usage limits — Conversation and planning limits
  • Team size — For team plans, how many members can join
  • Support level — Community vs. priority support

Current Plan

View your current subscription:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. See your active plan and status
  3. Review usage against your limits

Free Plan

Get started at no cost:

  • Create a limited number of agents
  • Access core features
  • Community support

Great for exploring Kindship and personal use.

Pro Plan

For individuals who need more:

  • More agents and higher limits
  • Advanced features
  • Email support
  • Monthly or annual billing

Team Plan

For teams and organizations:

  • Shared team workspace
  • Multiple team members
  • Collaborative agents
  • Priority support
  • Team billing and admin

Subscription Lifecycle

Starting a Subscription

  1. Choose a plan from the pricing page or settings
  2. Enter payment information
  3. Confirm your subscription
  4. Access is granted immediately

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically:

  • Monthly plans renew each month
  • Annual plans renew each year
  • You'll receive renewal reminders

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Access continues until the end of your billing period
  4. You can resubscribe later

No penalties for canceling. Your data is retained for a period after cancellation.

Viewing Your Billing

Access billing information:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. See current plan, next billing date, and payment method
  3. Access invoice history

Invoices

Invoices are generated for each payment:

  • Automatically emailed to your billing email
  • Available in billing settings
  • Download PDF for records

Payment Methods

Kindship accepts:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Some plans may accept additional methods

Update your payment method in billing settings.

Billing Cycle

Choose your billing cycle:

  • Monthly — Pay each month
  • Annual — Pay for the year upfront (usually at a discount)

Switch between cycles from billing settings.

Managing Your Subscription

Upgrading

Move to a higher plan:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Upgrade Plan
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Confirm the change

Upgrades take effect immediately. You'll receive credit for unused time on your current plan.

Downgrading

Move to a lower plan:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select a lower tier
  4. Confirm the change

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Make sure you're within the new plan's limits.

Updating Payment Method

Change your card or payment details:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Find Payment Method
  3. Click Update
  4. Enter new payment information
  5. Save changes

Updating Billing Email

Change where invoices are sent:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing
  2. Find Billing Email
  3. Update the email address
  4. Confirm the change

Team Billing

For team plans, billing works differently:

Team Owner Pays

The team owner manages billing for the entire team. Team members don't pay individually.

Per-Seat Pricing

Some team plans charge per member:

  • Adding members increases your bill
  • Removing members decreases your bill
  • Prorated charges apply

Team Billing Access

Only team owners can:

  • View and pay invoices
  • Update payment methods
  • Change the team plan
  • Cancel the team subscription

Common Questions

What happens if payment fails?

  • You'll receive a notification
  • We'll retry the payment
  • If payment can't be processed, your subscription may pause
  • Update your payment method to restore access

Can I get a refund?

  • Annual plans may be eligible for prorated refunds
  • Contact support to discuss your situation

Is there a free trial?

  • Check the pricing page for current trial offers
  • Trials let you try paid features before committing

Do you offer discounts?

  • Annual billing typically includes a discount

What happens to my data if I cancel?

  • Your data is retained for a period after cancellation
  • You can export your data before or after canceling
  • After the retention period, data may be deleted

Troubleshooting

Can't Update Payment Method

  • Make sure you're the account owner (for personal) or team owner (for teams)
  • Try a different card
  • Check that the card isn't expired

Invoice Not Received

  • Check spam/junk folders
  • Verify your billing email is correct
  • Download directly from billing settings

Subscription Shows Wrong Status

  • Wait a few minutes for updates to process
  • Refresh the page
  • Contact support if the issue persists
