Team Accounts

Learn how to use Kindship team accounts to collaborate with others on shared agents and projects.

Team accounts let you collaborate with others in Kindship. Share agents, work on projects together, and keep everyone aligned. This guide covers everything you need to know about teams.

Personal vs. Team Accounts

When you sign up for Kindship, you get a Personal Account — your private space for agents and projects.

Team Accounts are separate workspaces where multiple people can collaborate:

You can have both. Many users have personal agents for individual work and team agents for collaborative projects.

Creating a Team

Step 1: Start Team Creation

From your account menu (top navigation), select Create Team or access the team creation option from settings.

Step 2: Set Up Your Team

Fill in the details:

  • Team Name — How your team will be identified
  • Team URL — A unique identifier (like a username for your team)
  • Description — Optional context about the team's purpose

Step 3: Choose a Plan

Select a billing plan for your team. Team plans are billed separately from personal accounts.

Step 4: Invite Members

Add your first team members by email. They'll receive invitations to join.

Team Roles

Members can have different roles:

Owner

Full control over the team. Can:

  • Manage billing and subscription
  • Add and remove members
  • Assign roles
  • Delete the team
  • Everything members can do

Admin

Helps manage the team. Can:

  • Add and remove members
  • Assign roles (except Owner)
  • Manage team settings
  • Everything members can do

Member

Standard team participation. Can:

  • Access shared agents
  • Participate in conversations
  • View and edit planning
  • Create new agents (depending on settings)

Switching Between Accounts

Use the account switcher in the navigation to move between your personal account and team accounts:

  1. Click on your account name/avatar
  2. See all accounts you have access to
  3. Select the account you want to work in

The interface updates to show that account's agents and content.

Team Workspace

The team workspace looks similar to personal, with some additions:

Shared Agents

All team agents are visible to members. Conversations and planning are shared.

Team Dashboard

See activity across the team — who's working on what, recent changes, and overall progress.

Member List

View team members and their roles. Admins can manage members here.

Team Settings

Configure team-wide options like default permissions, notification settings, and integrations.

What's Shared

When you create or use an agent in a team account:

  • Conversations — All members can see and participate
  • Planning — Objectives, projects, and tasks are shared
  • Agent Settings — Configuration is team-controlled
  • History — Full activity log visible to team

What's Private

Some things stay individual even in teams:

  • Personal notifications — Your notification preferences
  • Your personal account — Completely separate from team
  • Viewing history — What you've looked at (unless commented/edited)

Billing for Teams

Team accounts have their own billing:

  • Billed to the team, not individual members
  • Owner manages payment method
  • Plan limits apply to team usage
  • Members don't pay separately for team access

Check your team's usage and billing in Team Settings > Billing.

Team vs. Personal Agents

Consider which type of agent to use:

Use Team Agents When:

  • Multiple people need to collaborate
  • The agent represents team knowledge
  • Planning should be shared
  • Decisions affect the whole team

Use Personal Agents When:

  • Work is individual
  • Privacy is important
  • Experimentation before sharing
  • Personal projects unrelated to team

Tips for Effective Teams

Clear Purpose

Define what the team is for. A focused team works better than a catch-all.

Right Members

Add people who actively need collaboration. Large teams with inactive members get noisy.

Communication Norms

Establish how the team uses shared agents. When to @mention, how to organize projects, etc.

Regular Check-ins

Use agents for team check-ins and status updates. This keeps everyone aligned.
